What exactly do you want to know?
What do you mean by optimum solution? RPC over HTTPS is just a connection method. Publish it through your ISA server with a commercial certificate and that is all there is to it.
Otherwise you are going to have to provide a lot more information as to what you are expecting to get from posting.

Hi Nick,
The
Exchange Server 2003 RPC over HTTP Deployment Scenarios guide contains background information about RPC over HTTP. The guide also contains detailed instructions about how to correctly configure RPC over HTTP. To obtain this guide,
visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Thanks Gen for your time and response.
I have already suggested them to check out the
Ms Exchange 2003 RPC over HTTP Deployment Scenarios guide,
available at:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=F7D2D6E5-579F-4779-A6B8-7EF931EC02A5&displaylang=en
(written by Exchange Server Documentation Team). As you correctly mention, this guide provides technical info about RPC over HTTP process, its interactions on Client, proxy and back-end servers, configuration/deployment guidance and examples.
Reference:
How to configure RPC over HTTP in Exchange 2003 ->

I have also provided them with
other references, such as:

But customer has already read this doc… Actually they need to implement RPC over HTTP inside their organization upon their high level management request, and they are
trying to create a step by step SOW (Statement of Work) for testing and implementation and they are looking for references or the best resource (documentation) to rely on..
Hoping now it is more clear.
